With the explosive growth of short video platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, Snapchat, YouTube, WeChat, etc., it's becoming increasingly challenging to strike a balance between entertainment, learning, and work. We aim to provide users the ability to control their digital time effectively while curating content to align with their interests and responsibilities, without falling into the FYP algorithm.

Who FILTER is for

The application is designed with a focus on teenagers and parents in its initial release, as this demographic is most susceptible to the alluring pull of social media. Teens and parents can collaborate to set up controlled access to the designated social media platforms, enabling teens to enjoy social media responsibly and productively. As the application matures, it will expand to cater to employees and employers in small businesses, enhancing productivity and reducing distractions in the workplace.

Functionality

The app's functionality is multifaceted, offering basic and advanced control features. Parents and employers can establish parameters for the duration and time slots during which teenagers and employees can access specific social media platforms. These settings can be adjusted through the app, allowing for flexible and dynamic management. The application automatically regulates access, blocking and unblocking specific content categories, thus enabling a filtered and focused experience.

Advanced Features

Advanced features include intelligent age - and occupation - based customization. Users can input age groups or occupations, and the app will intelligently create time slots and social media access based on the input. Moreover, FILTR offers an intelligent content analyzer, which ensures that the content consumed aligns with rules and guidelines, promoting both entertainment and time management.
